Chloe Koo is a multidisciplinary award-winning designer with over ten years of experience in renowned Fortune 500 companies, such as Amazon, Deloitte and IBM Watson. She is a Product Design manager at Samsung Electronics who is creating a future of productivity and collaboration in AI mobile experiences. She designs enterprise-level digital platforms and services that benefit users, from visually impaired children to healthcare experts. As a designer, she aspires to create emotionally rich and meaningful designs. She loves to create designs involving new technologies and innovations.

Samsung Electronics:
UX Design Manager

2021 - Present

I am a Product Design Manager responsible for creating media and gaming service products for Samsung’s mobile experience. My team identifies potential product ideas based on user and market trends, working on a wide range of core system apps as well as conceptual products that may be released in the near future. These products include AI-based TV and mobile integration solutions.

One of our team’s most notable recent launches is Weather Insights, a Samsung weather widget developed in collaboration with the IBM TWC team. I work closely with the HQ design team and product executive leaders in the US to develop AI experiences—such as voice, chatbot, and summary features—for the international market on all of Samsung’s flagship devices, while also shaping the overall design strategy.

I leveraged artificial intelligence to solve meaningful problems for radiologists and everyone who depends on fast, accurate medical imaging. I solved complex clinical user experience problems, recognized elegant solutions, and identified the challenges that equally weighed on businesses and the end-customer needs — addressing how each challenge impacts the Enterprise Imaging design experience, AI, and human-centric outcomes and linking human-centered design with new innovative technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to augment human expertise and intelligence.

Deloitte (Deloitte Digital):
Senior Design Consultant

2015 - 2018

As a senior design consultant, I independently guided and supported the project team in conceptualization, solution design, and user experience goal-setting from inception to delivery. My primary role involved UI and UX design as well as designing web applications that align with the latest design trends and corporate branding. Additionally, I was responsible for creating proposals and presenting design solutions to clients, ensuring that their needs were met while maintaining business objectives. Through my projects, some of which included high-profile client engagements, I collaborated closely with user researchers, project managers, and client market research teams in an agile environment to deliver effective and innovative design solutions.

One of the notable projects was the UBS Wealth App, which received the Big Innovation Awards. My design improved existing features and introduced new services, which led to 76% increase in app downloads!

Visual UX Designer

2014 - 2015

I contributed to designing an e-commerce experience that enhances the reading and listening journey for customers on Amazon.com, Audible, and Kindle digital platforms. This project required both individual contributions and cross-functional collaboration, blending human-centered impact with high-standard, innovative user experiences. My team helped launch Amazon’s “One-Click” purchase workflow, streamlining the shipping process to improve overall convenience. These initiatives ultimately delivered strong market outcomes and significantly enhanced the customer experience.
